Gastric bypass surgery has received quite a bit of press in recent years when The Today Show's Al Roker, American Idol's Randy Jackson, Roseanne Barr and Carnie Wilson from the 90s musical group Wilson Philips all underwent the procedure. Now gastric bypass is crossing over to the genre that is known for the stereotype of large women in horned helmets.
